Be kind to animals,wear pleather not leather. I noticed all the shoes or rather high boots were man-made at kohls,macys,sears and Burlington coat factory. way to go! I hardly eat meat and when do,eat chicken,little chop meat and mostly rice,pasta and veggies. Is good to cut down on use of meat to save animals. Read more here.

Yesterday all my pets got something nice from the market..

Bought catnip,cat toys,better quality cat food,dog bones,biscuits. Saved $37. there as my friend is a senior and Big Y super market in Greenfield Mass. has a silver program where give s a discount to senior citizens. Ham was on sale for $3.99/lb.,a bouquet of flowers for $3., a half gallon of ice cream for $3.  My friend drinks a lot of diet coke which is very bad to drink honestly so bought selzer instead for a buck each,5 of them and saved as won't buy at corner shop for twice that! Shopping smart is being frugal not cheap. More on saving money here on my frugal blog. Played a game of pool at the local pub yesterday for .75 without drinking anything and left. had fun frugally. it can be done folks. With money saved was able to splurge on Ben and jerry's ice cream, a pint for $5.

got steroids from vet and were ok til ran out! Heard good things about glucosamine so getting some or derivative of from pet store today. Baby aspirin should help pain too and swelling.Wish us both well! Read more here.

All things considered...

Brandy and I are ok,not great but.  Uually this time of year we are both itchy and covered with hives and bites and bruises from insects biting us from unmowed grass and skin reacting to poison ivy,oak,sumac all over the place where was living.  Since in Albany and not in country anymore,although miss it's quiet and beauty,we are healthier. Bandy's coat looks good,glossy and she doesn'r have mange.  I don't have rash all over self from poisons from plants.

On another note, my nose is still in bad shapw with congestion and I am very upset about the arres and charges against me for alleged grand larceny,fraud and misuse of his credit card as was an accident and as a friend he should have had my back and given me the benefit of the doubt,not pressed charges against me,badmouthed me behind my back to people I know.Am soooo angry at him so I need to let this go. I wrote to judge and him apologizing for my carelessness and part in this and plan to repay his account gradually to avoid court and asked for this to be dropped and settled out of court. I can't afford fines that could get potentially or not up to possible prison time,could get 4 years. He should have confronted me as a friend firstly before contacted police. This has dragged on a year when I figured out what happened in a day! Is sooo ridiculous and unnecessary. I accidentally didn't delete his info and used his card unknowingly when purchased stuff in future on Amazon as they were the billing company for eyebuydirect.com where got his glasses from,saving him $3000 as were about $60 when Pearle Vision wanted $360 so he bailed. He is so mean,crazy and an ingrate. We used to hang out alot,going to auctions,yard sales,dinner,writing classes. I used to get his lunch and mail when picked up mine and helped him sell as had no employee in his store,making him money,bought from his store and what he got at yard sales,supporting him,leant him my dvds as he has not tv reception. He forgot all that,got angry and seeked revenge. His actions have got me in sooo much trouble,I don't know how to redeem myself and clear my name. Any advice you all can give is welcomed. thanks.

Amish puppy mill horror..

CBS news anchor Steve Amaruzzo,may have spelt it wrong,brings this issue to light in recent report. The Amish consider these animals cattle and treat them awfully and when overcrowded shoot them. We have no jurisdiction in this area where they live. The dogs vocal chords are damaged intentionally so can't bark and are kept in rabbit hutches so can't even walk but crawl. Is awful and i think we need to pass laws to stop this. They still live in the US and should be made to abide by some laws to protect them. Speak out to your congressmen about this now by writing,calling! Thanks.

Many fooled into buying dogs from these places. The best way not to be fooled is to save a life and get dog from local shelter.

Save $$ on litter by using ....

"All creatures great and small,God made them all!" -the Bible newspaper schards and shredded paper to line pan instead of little which is usually made of clay and needs to be thrown out not tossed in the woods as isn't biodegradeable and can't get into water supply. With the planet as bad off as it is, not sure why all products aren't earth-friendly. Can make your own litter by following directions on this link. I also use Cat's Pride clumping,scoopable litter

if use it at all as it is flushable so must be ok to toss in compost pile. The poopies or feces, I toss in the toilet though. Also this lessens the ammount of plastic,nonrecyclable plastic bags being tossed in land fills full of pet waste. This is a healthier way of dealing with pet waste too as smells better in house and pets like it clean,especially cats so you can empty box daily this way instead of weekly. I also use leaves,baking soda. Tried the wheat pellets and didn't like it and then used the pine

which is too strong to smell and now also tried the arm and hammer brand but that too stinks so.

Cat feces harmful if pregnant

Pit bull saves woman's life...

when she falls on train tracks and collapses in path of an oncoming freight train. Her rescue dog pulled and pushed her off the tracks and even put herself in harms way to take impact of hit from train to avoid owner being hurt. How many people would do that! anyways,Lilly,dog is doing well,healing at vet's.  people need to remember this the next time they say nasty things a out the  breed.  they are very bright,loyal dogs as I have one myself.  all how you treat and raise them.  Many mistreat them and breed them for fighting and use theym as status symbols to show how tough owners are.

Renting Housing With Pets Can Be Hard..

Due to the actions of a few..who make it bad for responsible pet owners like myself and probably you too. Our pets are all rescues who were abandoned by their previous owners for a multitude of reasons including moving to non-pet friendly housing. Is sad when You have to give up a pet who becomes like a family member. I know I LOVe my babies who are my kids as I have nonhuman ones. What do you think?

I am facing this situation myself as I have been asked to leave housing I recently moved into! I have 8 cats I acquired from each place I had lived as were neglected by their previous owners and I took pity on them and took h in. For doing God's work, I am facing homelessness. Is this fair?

Moving Can Be stressful for YOur Pet(s)..

As was the case with my cat Lucky who went and climbed the wall to the top shelf of the closet and wouldn't come down til I moved the shelf and then closed the closet door,thus knocking the shelf on my head. Yeh I had a lump and it still is sore but all part of bieng a pet owner and mom,aw! The little guy has adjusted now finally after a few days and the new place is much nicer than the old one so am happier here and with the move overall.

My Neighbor Hit My Dog Over the Head and On Her Body Several Times Because..

She went on his lawn and his old dog was out there with him and he was being protective of both of them adn was scared. She is ok but from now on I will keep her away from him and leashed when he is home. It is good advice to do the same when in doubt of your neighbors as to their actions. She is AKC Pit Bull and is intimidating to some who don't know her..Did anything like this ever happen to you? What do you think?
