REceived some sa news today, that one of the stray cas we feed, had been hit and killed by a car up the road. We had planned to use a have a heart trap before winter and trap him and his 4 buddies who vist us faithfully from God knows where. I will miss him and was quite saddened by the news. In a way perhaps, his life is a lesson for all of us in two ways. One it sheds light on the plight of homeless animals everywhere. Secondly, atleast he was cried over upon his passing. Many people don't even get that! What do you think? God Bless you Smokey. See you on the RAinbow bridge my little prince. XXOO -Ann

ReplyDeleteOh, this breaks my heart. I feed so many strays, and would be totally heartbroken if anything happened to them. It's funny how we consider them our own, isn't it?

If it was a dog perhaps there might be a police investigation since was a hit and run but for cats they really don't do anythign or care as are so many srays unfortunately. Is why want to trap and bring them to rescue group Animalkind in Hudson, NY a no kill facility where they will try to adopt them out after they spay neuter them and give them exams and shots before winter. too late for Smokey but hopefully not the rest of them..a calico female,a black and white and arey adn white and an orange persian. -Ann
